THE PINNACLE AT OAK HILLS LUXURY CONMINIUMS ON SAN ANTONIO

Welcome to City-Buildings.com. In this issue we're going to explore new developments in Dallas and San Antonio, where rumors of slow downs and over-building are rampant and a skosh off the mark.

We'll visit the new hope for San Antonio's arts district area called Artisan Park
and look at trends
in condo and
townhomes
facing the
Alamo City.

In the highrise/midrise department there's an interesting story contributed by writer Elaine Rogers (recently of DFW House & Home and now National Editor at Solutions at Hand magazine). It seems, sometimes that sometimes the best values are hidden right in front of us.

Certainly the case in her tale
of two highrises ( the
fabulous La Cascada in
San Antonio, and The
Montane in the historic
State-Thomas historic
district in Uptown
Dallas) which are just
now seeing their
last remaining units sold
after a prolonged and
perplexing period of activity.

And, we'll even speak with one
of the original sales team members
on The Montane who survived the
tumultuous beginnings in the Uptown
Dallas real estate market to go on to
huge sales volume amidst a steep
learning curve. Nancy Guerrerio
talks about her doings in the
Uptown condo market.

We'll also check in with the guy behind
several condo success scenes – hint,
he's usually the one who comes in
and fixes what's been broken – and
he rarely steps out of the shadows.

As we go through our
latest picks in
the sometimes
subjective but
never subversive
Movers and
Shakers column,
We focus on some
trendsetters who
decided good wasn't
good enough.

We start with Nancy Personette of Phyllis Browning Associates, whose years of kicking behind in her family firm taught her how to slice and dice the condo sales and marketing game into manageable (and successful) pieces. Her track record of performing for developers has led her to a new team in San Antonio from her native Houston.

After Nancy, we have news on picks like Arlington resident John Arnot whose Coble Cravens Financial Services company is now taking steps to change a lot of how we think about insurance issues.

And, we couldn't resist looking into the juggernaut that is Yoo (no, not yoo who?) and their pursuit of fashion forward development fueled by some lofty opinion shapers and lots (yes, lots and lots) of cash.

Most notably may be the entire Victory development shaping up in Dallas. From the happening W that Edith Personette's company sold out, to the new House by Philippe
Starck
, it's heady stuff.
